Greed trophy / 2010
Araki became interested in the roots of the word trophy 'spoils of war'. The apple stolen from heaven seems the symbol of a trophy and so Araki made "Greed trophy". Taking advantage of acrylic maker "AIR FRAME", ARAKI designed a big trophy. ― トロフィーの語源である戦利品に興味を引いた。天から奪い取った林檎がトロフィーの象徴だと感じて、「欲望のトロフィー」をつくった。アクリルメーカー「エアフレーム」の技術によって、高さ1メートルのトロフィーを1点制作。

Phantom light / 2007
'Phantom Light' is an illumination with some designs for fantasy or mental scenery. When switched on, it creates a scene of relief with the warm lighting and at the same time, a false illusion by the shadow. Phantom or ghost loomed out on the ceiling catches your attention and makes you feel both pleasing and scared. An artwork exposes your inner nature. ― 夢想あるいは、心象のためにデザインしたシーリングライト。照明をつけると、明かりがもたらす安堵感と同時に影による妄想がはじまる。天井に浮かび上がる幻想が見る人の感情を捕らえ、楽しくなったり、恐くなったり、こころのなかを照射する。

Urushi steeple / 2001
These towers are a kind of stacking design using 6 classic pieces of Japanese lacquer ware (Urushi). By changing the order in which they are stacked it is possible to achieve 80,640 different forms. ― 6つの定番型漆器それぞれにジョイント部分をつくり、スタッキングするデザイン。積上げる順番を入れ替えることで、異なったフォルムが80,640通りできる。

Stump chair / 2000
This chair is designed after what was perhaps mankind's first chair; a tree stump. A limited set of 20 pieces was produced. Calligraphy is written along the hole in the center of each stump; assemble all the stumps and calligraphy forms one complete poem. ― 切り株をモチーフに人類がはじめて座った椅子をデザイン。20脚限定で制作し、それぞれの穴のまわりにカリグラフィーが施されている。それぞれのカリグラフィーをすべて繋ぐと一遍の詩になる。

Using chairs which were liberated from a church and changing the seats to acrylic, these chairs are infused with the sensibility of a 'next generation religion'. ― 教会から解放された中古椅子に限定し、座面部分をアクリルに替えたリデザイン次世代の宗教観を混在させた椅子。
